Generally, the cremated remains of a person are placed in an urn. This urn can be as simple or ornate as the person and the family members choose it to be. Once the remains are placed in the urn, family members (or the deceased themselves, if they made arrangements ahead of time) decide whether to place the urn indoors or outdoors.
You have both options at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Our mausoleum, opened in 2003, has a variety of indoor glass niche spaces.
